USPS: Senate Bill 1789 To Allow Wine Shipments?

The United States Postal Service has been prohibited to ship beer, wine, and spirits since a law was passed. This law still remained on the books even after prohibition but a bill passed in the senate in April may change all of that soon. Section 404 is the section that address the shipping of spirits:
Section 404 - Authorizes the mailing of wine and beer by a licensed winery or brewery in accordance with the laws of the state, territory, or district where the addressee or authorized agent takes delivery. Requires USPS to issue regulations requiring: (1) the delivery of wine and beer directly to the addressee or agent; (2) the addressee to be at least 21 years of age; and (3) the individual who takes delivery to present a valid, government-issued photo identification.
Maybe Senate Bill 1789 this will save the USPS?

Endangered Species Wine: Toast to Saving Animals

I was having a conversation with Craig Kasnoff, Endangered Species Journalist, the other day and he mentioned that Endangered Species Day was coming up on Friday, May 18th. I know I always love an opportunity to help others while sipping wines so I did a search on the Internet and Endangered Wines came up. Endangered Wines donates 20% of their annual net profits to organizations that help protect threatened species around the world.  Some of the organizations that benefit includes Save China’s Tigers, The International Elephant Foundation, Pandas International, and Polar Bears International.

Raise a glass or two to Endangered Species Day and help out some of the animals. You'll feel good.

From CBS comes a story about a study that searches for proof that red wine has anti aging properties with resveratrol. Let's hope it true.
